Delete my account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your AI ANIMO account and its associated data. It applies to the ANIMO mobile app (app.aianimo.android / app.aianimo.ios), published by AI ANIMO SA.

From the app

If the app is installed, you can delete your account on device:

• open ANIMO and sign in to your account;
• go to the Profile tab, then Settings;
• select Delete my account;
• enter your password: a confirmation code is sent to your e-mail address;
• enter that code to confirm. Deletion is applied immediately.

Without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in, write to aianimo.app@gmail.com from the e-mail address linked to your account, with the subject Account deletion. We verify your identity, then process the request within 30 days at most.

Data that is deleted

Once the request is confirmed, the following personal data is erased or replaced with anonymous values, with no way back:

• e-mail address;
• first and last name;
• password and authentication tokens;
• verification and password-reset tokens.

Generated artworks are removed from your account and are no longer reachable from the app. The corresponding files kept on our storage servers carry no data that can identify you.

No image of your face is involved in this procedure, for a simple reason: it is never transmitted nor stored. Emotion analysis runs on your device and the image is destroyed within a second. See the privacy policy.

Data that is retained

Some data survives deletion, in anonymised form, either because the law requires it or because it can no longer be tied to you:

• billing and subscription history, retained under Swiss accounting obligations (ten years);
• technical security logs, retained for twelve months at most;
• an internal identifier stripped of any personal data, which preserves database integrity.

A subscription purchased through Google Play or the App Store must be cancelled separately, from the corresponding store: deleting your ANIMO account does not stop the billing handled by those platforms.

Timing

Deletion requested from the app is immediate. A written request is processed within 30 days. Encrypted database backups, kept for disaster recovery, are purged within a further 30 days at most.
